Safety Equipment America (S.E.A.) provides its SE 400 positive pressure, breath responsive PAPR (powered air purifying respirator) for use by first responders. It meets the air flow requirements of the NIOSH/CBRN/PAPR concept paper* for high performance PAPR intended for rescue and recovery work as well as lifting and carrying patients during contamination.
The SE 400 can pressurize SEA's "SE shield" level B type suit** which provides skin protection in a liquid and aerosol environment. The user has good protection, mobility and effective communication using the SE shield's voice amplification system.
